SAL BUMPS UP THE VOLUME: Paul Ferguson takes note as Henry de Bromhead starlet Salsinha flies in

When looking back at notable winners, or eye-catchers from the month of July I wouldn’t usually expect to start with a bumper horse - but the Henry de Bromheadtrained Salsinha created a lasting impression on debut at Cork recently and looked to be well above-average for the time of year.

Indeed, we see more and more good quality horses appearing during the summer months these days, particularly in Ireland, and it will be interesting to see if she is kept on the go – possibly with Galway or Listowel in mind – or whether she is kept back for once the new season ‘proper’ gets underway.
