Docklands provided his trainer Harry Eustace with a first Group 1 winner in the opening race, the Queen Anne Stakes. American Affair, who had been winning handicaps earlier in the year, gave his trainer, Jim Goldie, a first Group 1 winner and a first Royal Ascot winner in the King Charles III Stakes.
