I can't quite get my head around the price of LA RENOMMEE at Ludlow today given her performance over course and distance last time out. She beat the re-opposing Fortune's Melody a shady cosily and that form is better than anything favourite Walk In Clover has ever done. Dr Richard Newland's mare jumped like a cat in that race and a similar jumping performance will see her take this today.
Alastair Ralph rarely leaves Ludlow without a winner these days and he looks to have a great chance in the first race but SCHERBOBALOB looks a decent bet in the 4.00 also. He unseated Jay Tidball last time at Bangor just as the race was hotting up but looked like he would have played a serious part in the finish. He lines up again today in a similar grade of race and I think 12/1 looks serious value.
