I’m surprised that AMERICAN GERRY isn’t a hot favourite for the 3.25 for Kempton today albeit on his seasonal reappearance. Hughie Morrison’s charge was an impressive winner on his final start of last season over track and trip and although he has received a 9lb hike I think there could be more to come from him. He was a good bumper horse at one time and after a slow start over hurdles, it looked like connections had worked him out when we last saw him. I expect a similar performance today in what looks a weaker race.
