Racing Ahead

Bens Tips of the Day

Ben Morgan

The good ground will certainly be to the advantage of JUST THE MAN today at Ludlow as he looks to double up over course and distance. John O’Shea’s horse clearly appreciates a sounder surface and a pacey track after a string of good efforts in similar conditions. A small break since his run at Hereford, a race which has worked out well, wouldn’t have done him any harm and I think he will be ready to strike.

The 20/1 about KNOWN last night looked very tasty and I’m glad I got on then as his price has collapsed this morning. Jonjo O’Neill’s horse has some smart form in the book but hasn’t been able to show his best this season for new connections due to soft underfoot conditions. With good ground in his favour today I think he could make a mockery of his mark of 108.
