It would be hard not to be taken with LA PRIMA DONNA's two runs in France as she stayed on from unpromising positions on both occasions to claim second. Both were questionable rides and surely would have been investigated in this country but either way you can't deny the mare certainly has an engine to make up that sort of ground.
Since then she has been sold to Kenny Alexander who has put her in training with Willie Mullins which is just about as good as it gets for a mare. It will take something special to beat her today so she gets the vote and it may be worth backing her for the Mares Novice hurdle at 40/1 now before that price crashes.
