I'm hoping GREAT HEART'JAC should be tough to beat on hurdle debut. Fergal O'Brien has his yard in great form at present and this youngster ran the highly regarded Timeforatune close last time at Chepstow. That was in a bumper, his fourth start in that sphere, and he is now sent hurdling where connections will be hoping for a little more luck so he can get his head deservedly in front.
Venetia Williams likes to have a winner at her local course and I suspect her string are about to start firing now we get that little bit deeper into the jumps season so with that in mind I expect FRENCHY DU LARGE to run a big race in the 2.25. He ran some tidy races in some very hot novice hurdles last year but he always appeared a horse who would excel when he met a fence and it will be interesting to see how he gets on today on chase debut. A mark of 120 isn't insurmountable if he is tuned up and ready to go.
