I think Oxted is a ridiculously short price today at Newmarket and I am inclined to take him on. On ratings he's clear but I'm not convinced that there is that much between him and his rivals today. Given the way the majority of races have panned out this week at Newmarket I think it may be worth taking a punt on SHINE SO BRIGHT who is going to make his intentions clear from the outset.
He is going to attempt to make all and the drop back to 6f combined with the return to a course he likes means he might just cause an upset today. He won the Free handicap here a couple of years ago over 7f where he toughed it out well from the front. The drop in trip isn't too concerning as you and it will probably actually suit this free going horse.
