WE’RE into the last third of the Flat season with some big races to come and none bigger than the St Leger at Doncaster, the last Classic of the year on September 12.
Once again it looks like a shoot-out between Aidan O’Brien and the rest with the Irish maestro currently booked to send over Santiago, Oaks heroine Love and Goowood winner Mogul.
Royal Ascot winner Hukum along with Ed Walker’s Derby fifth English King provide the main hopes for the home teams. Andy Newton, as always, has cast his incomparable eye over the trends for the big race.
