MR CARPENTER (David Lanigan) is a strapping gelding who attracted support on his debut at Newmarket in May. He travelled well until running out of puff at the two-pole here and wasn’t knocked about from that point. This yard is all about getting horses ready for handicaps and he will make a mark in that sphere.
