Clan Des Obeaux gallops home ahead of Thistlecrack in the King George

Paul Nicholls clocked up his tenth win in the King George VI Chase when Clan Des Obeaux landed a surprise success. The 12-1 shot fought out the finish with a rejuvenated Thistlecrack before winning by one-and-a-half lengths.
Favourite Might Bite put in another lacklustre effort and the fancied Waiting Patiently was brought down by Bristol De Mai before the race had started in earnest.
