The two big autumn meetings at Cheltenham, plus the Betfair Chase at Haydock, have given us all a taste of the high-class action to come in this National Hunt season.
And now the big races just keep arriving right up until the unique atmosphere of the King George amid the cigar smoke and brandy fumes at Kempton. A check on the calendar shows we have the Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle on December 1 as well as the Ladbrokes Gold Trophy at Newbury. A week later it’s the Tingle Creek at Sandown and the Becher Chase at Aintree. On December 9 comes the Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon.
