NIGHT IN VEGAS can land the chips here and land a three-timer of these big sales races – which will take his prize money over the £500k mark.
He stayed on well the last day at Donny over 6 1/2f so the step up to 7f here is also expected to bring out more improvement.
The small niggle is the form of the Eve Johnson Houghton team at the moment (2-33 at the time of writing) but it’s still hard to look elsewhere.
Especially as his nearest rival in the betting – Zigazig Ah – was around 6 lengths behind the pick at Doncaster recently and I don’t think a 6lb pull is enough to reverse that.
The Johnson Houghton and Charles Bishop also teamed up to win this in 2016 with the classy Accidental Agent.
A Bear Affair and Velociraptor can do best of the rest.

BLUE BOLT should be living up to her name again here and is fully expected to put up another lightning performance.
This Andrew Balding runner was 2nd in this race in 2025, but hasn’t looked back since – winning five times.
These include three Group One successes in the Falmouth Stakes, Prix Rothschild and last time in the Matron Stakes.
City Of Memphis was back in second the last day and with 2 1/4 lengths to find, it’s hard to see this Paddy Twomey runner reversing the form.
A win here will also make Blue Bolt, who has banked £897k a millionaire with £212k up for grabs here.
Moon Target can take his third bronze in-a-row, while I’d not be shocked to see the unexposed Secret Of Life run better than her 4th at Sandown last time.

ERNST BLOFELD can be the villain here for the Wathnan boys after a fair second last time at Doncaster to Valedictory.
That came over 1m6f and was running a good race up till around the two furlong pole, so this ease back to 1m4f today looks a good move.
Before that run was 5th at York to Plage De Havre and that form has been franked since with that horse going in again at Chester.
Pus, Harry Vigors has been booked this time to claim a handy 5lbs – there’s a lot to like.
Of the rest, course winner Evanesco is noted, while the Jane Chapple-Hyam team are in good order so their consistent Primo Lara is respected with Saffir riding too.
Sportingsilvermine would have a squeak on his best form too, but the James Owen yard are a bit quiet at the moment, which is the worry with him.

SO REGAL looks to have a great chance to get her career back on track here, in what doesn’t look the best Listed race.
This Gosden runner was only beaten 1 1/2 lengths last time in the G3 Atalanta Stakes, but having taken a bit of a tug that day, this ease to 7f looks a plus.
She’s also down a tad in grade here and has had 35 days to get over that last outing – Champion jockey elect, Billy Loughnane rides and she’s also back to Ascot, where she won in May.
Along with Gosden, trainers William Haggas and Ralph Beckett have good records in this race too – the trio have won 7 of the last 10 between them.
So, the Haggas entry Albaydaa and Beckett horse Dash Of Azure are the ones to have if So Regal has an off day.

FIRST INSTINCT and LIFEPLAN are the two against the two main players – Tuco Salamanca and the 2025 winner of this Shagraan.
Yes, Tuco, who was a good winner on Shergar Cup day, will be popular after his Ayr Gold Cup second – but looked to have a hard race there and maybe 14 days isn’t enough time between drinks – we’ll see.
So a chance is taken on the William Haggas runner First Instinct after not getting the best of runs the last day at Newbury. I’m not saying he’d have won that G3 at Newbury last time, but would certainly have got closer at the line than the 3 lengths.
Shagraan was in second that day and First Instinct is 2lbs better off this time too.
Lifeplan is interesting back to 5f too. Last season’s Gimcrack Stakes winner has had some problems since but has been showing plenty of pace over 6f and 7f this season to suggest the ease in trip is well worth a try.
He’s the top rated in the field (112) too and connections are also reaching for the first-time blinkers.

PLAGUE DE HAVRE has been in top form recently – winning his last two – and I think he looks a tad over-priced.
Yes, this is a step up again, with those wins coming in a Handicap and Listed company and he might have liked a bit more cut.
But is clearly in good heart and only has 5lbs to find with the likely favourite and last year’s second Tenability.
Plague De Havre is having his first run at Ascot, while Andrew Balding won the Cumberland Lodge in 2019.
Tenability loves it here, with three past Ascot wins to his name, but is 0-3 at Group 3 level, which is the worry for his backers.
The old-boy Al Aasy is still going great guns with two wins this season – including a Group Two in France last time. But has also been beaten twice in this race before (2023 and 2024).
Godolphin have two in the race as well – Royal Power and By The Book – and with Billy Loughnane picking the last-named that could be significant, with Kieran Shoemark on their other.

DIVISION should take the beaten here, if bringing his form from better races to this Group 3.
He was last seen running a neck second in a Group 1 at Deauville in France, while before that wasn’t beaten far in the Commonwealth Cup and July Cup (watch below) – form which would make him very hard to beat here back in class.
Of the rest, the unexposed Hidden Force for Godolphin was last seen running 3rd in the Craven Stakes back in April – he’s back after a wind op and could be ready to kick-on.
While G2 Minster Stakes winner Elmonjed and CD hero Prince Of India are noted too.
But Division is the call to come up with the right formula here.

THUNDER CALL and POET MASTER are my two against the field in this 18-runner handicap.
The former will be all the rage after a facile win here last time over this CD and despite a 9lb hike could be another of these Haggas horses disguised as a Listed or Group performer.
This will also only be his seventh career run (3 wins) so there should be more to come.
Hawksbill was a horse I put up a few weeks ago and was only just touched off in second. He’s not the easiest to win with (18 runs no win), but the drop back to 7f (from 1m) will suit.
Ayr Gold Cup winner Pellitory was another horse that we’ve won with recently. He’s up 6lbs for that win and back up to 7f – he can’t be ruled out either.
But the other at a big price to note is POET MASTER. This Karl Burke runner hasn’t won in 10, but it’s interesting he’s back into a handicap here rated 105.
However, despite now winning for a while he’s been running in some top races and not been disgraced.
Notably when 3rd to Ten Bob Tony at Epsom in June and that horse has since won the G1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.
While the last time he dipped into a handicap, he won (Newmarket, 2024). And off this mark was a tide winner of the G2 Minstrel Stakes at the Curragh a few years back.
Thunder is the main ‘Call’ but if back in grade Poet could easily ‘Master’ this lot too.

REVELS, who is owned by Ms Linda Mars of the billionaire chocolate confectionary brand, looks a ‘sweet’ bet here.
This Karl Burke runner was last seen running a close 4th at Newbury in the G2 Mill Reef Stakes – beaten only 1 1/4 lengths to Nabati.
He heads here off a mark of 104, with only Satellite Of Love higher (105) and that horse’s chance will be franked if Night In Vegas wins earlier on Saturday too.
But I just think Revels brings the slightly better form to the table and the added bonus is that he’s a proven course winner here at Redcar, when scoring on debut here in May.
The unbeaten Thames Waterman and recent Beverley winner Myesme can fight it out for third.
However, I’ll take Revels to land more Mars Bars for the Burke yard.

WITNESS STAND will be popular here to grab a first win of 2026, after some fair runs in better company recently.
He was last seen running 5th in the G2 Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster and was only 4 1/2 lengths behind the winner More Thunder that day.
While before that was only beaten 3 3/4 lengths in the G2 Hungerford Stakes at Newbury.
The niggle is that he’s not an easy horse to win with (1-11) but more often than not runs his race.
70% of the last 10 winners also came from gates 5, 6 or 7 – Witness Stand has stall 7. With Oolong Poobong (5) and Elarak (6) in the other hot berths.
We’ve also got the 2023 winner of this race Vafortino back for more, but he’s now aged 8 and hasn’t won in 18 races.
All the evidence points to Witness Stand here.
