Then Supporting these three main cards on Saturday are Redcar, Ayr and Lingfield – plus over in Ireland Wexford and Kilbeggan provide the action.

There’s plenty to get stuck into – have a top day folks! 😎

Let’s get going!

💪Andy Newton Horse Racing NAP Tip Today (Saturday 8th August, 2026)

6:40 Lingfield HALIMEDE

Did us a favour earlier this week and looks worth sticking with – winning by 5 lengths that day at Catterick.

That was only her four career run and still looked a bit raw to suggest there’s more to come.

Has a 6lb penalty for that win, but still looks well-treated off 65 with the expected improvement.

Rodeo Luke Morris keeps the ride.

Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips (Saturday 8th August, 2026)

1:50 Haydock: BRIGHTON VIEW

Bolted up at Yarmouth the last day by 7 lengths and is quickly turned out again with a 6lb penalty.

The slight drop in trip is a small worry, but the long Haydock straight will suit based on how he finished the last day.

And title-chasing jockey Oisin Murphy has been booked to ride.

The others should be seeing Brighton View from behind again.

“I’m running back Brighton View quickly as it’s his last chance to run in a 0-75 for a while at least. He won easily at Yarmouth and this looks another good opportunity. ” William Knight told us at FromTheStables today

2:25 Haydock SALLAAL

The Roger Varian yard remain in tip-top form and look to have a potential star on their hands here.

Yes, he’s only won recently in a handicap and listed company – but has taken both those races in eye-catching fashion.

Up in class again here into a Group Three, but is the call to take the rise in grade in his stride in what isn’t a deep renewal.

While has looked a different horse since being gelded – with figures that read 2-1-1 since his undercarriage has been lightened!

6:30 Ayr TIGER

Tiger roared home at Chester last week and he can land the Frosties again today.

Up 5lbs for that win looks fair considering he bolted up by 5 1/2 lengths and 3lbs of that is offset anyway with Ryan Kavanagh’s claim.

There are a few in here that that might make him work for it – like Phantom Shadow and Dryburgh – but if running to the same level as last time it’s hard to see these taking the Tiger stripes today.

EACH-WAY Horse Racing Tips For Today at Ascot and Newmarket (Saturday 8th August, 2026)

2:45 Ascot: NIGHT BREEZE

Won this race last season and despite being 11lbs higher looks worth sticking with.

This is because he seems to love it here at Ascot – backed up with form figures of 1-2-1 at the Berkshire track.

Last year Robbie Dolan didn’t even have to use the whip to coax him home by 1/2 a length and with top rider Dylan Brown McMonagle in the saddle I’m hoping he can do the same.

I’ll take Night to Breeze home again in this Shergar Cup race.

3:20 Ascot: MAY ANGEL

Thunder Call might be hard to topple and favourites have won 5 of the last 6 runnings of this race.

However, a chance is taken on the better valued May Angel, for the Gosdens.

This Dark Angel gelding is 0-7 on the turf, but was only beaten 2 1/2 lengths the last day at Newmarket.

But he’s down a pound for that and is slightly better off with Thunder Call, who was third in that race.

The 6th (Ghost Mode) also franked the form to win at Goodwood last week and the 2nd (Calico Blue) has also won since.

May Angel could be the value to fly home with Christophe-Patrice Lemaire in the plate.

4:30 Ascot: POP MASTER

Many chances here – including last year’s winner Ebt’s Guard (up 5lbs) and Cerulean Bay, who was 2nd in 2025 (up 14lbs).

Two Tribes can also be forgiven his last run after stumbling at the gates in the Stewards Cup last week.

So a chance is taken on the old-boy Popmaster to find the right notes here.

Yes, he’s not getting any younger at 8, but is a proven course winner and hinted last time (4th Sandown) a return to form could be on the cards.

He was only 2 lengths behind Indalo that day, in a 14-runner race and before that ran another fair 4th at Epsom in a big-field handicap.

4:50 Newmarket: LION’S HOUSE

The Linda Perratt yard can do little wrong at the moment, so anything they run today should be noted.

Including this 5yold, who was an improved 4th last time at Ayr.

He’s down a pound for that run and having stayed on well that day you feel his turn to grab a fifth career win might not be far away.

Lion’s House is the call to tame the others – running of a 2lb lower mark than his last winning rating.

⛔LAY OF THE DAY Horse Racing Tip Today (Saturday 8th August): Take On Ayr Fancy

7:30 Ayr: KELPIE GREY

The Jim Goldie yard are only 2-42 in the last 14 days, so that’s the first negative.

This 6yold grey was 6th last time (of 9) here and has also been dropped a few pounds.

Yes, he looks well-handicapped – winning off 78 in the past. But that came in May 24 and is now on a 20 race run without a win.

The final negative is the trip (6f), as all four career wins have come over 7f or 1m.

💬TRAINER QUOTE: Daily Info Direct From The Yard

2:45 Ascot: ASGARD’S CAPTAIN (11/2)

“Asgard’s Captain has run a couple of times recently over further but it was over his trip at Newmarket in May that he won most recently and he is only 2lb higher. Ryan Moore in the saddle should seal the deal. Big chance.” Dylan Cunha
