Trainer Charlie Appleby has confirmed Blue Point won?t be running in Sunday’s Derrinstown Stud Flying Five due to a dirty scope.
The four-year-old has looked impressive since returning to action in June and was fancied to challenge at the Curragh this weekend.
However, Appleby has confirmed his charge won?t be making an appearance in the Flying Five and they now look ahead to Ascot’s Champions Day instead.
Appleby told godolphin.com: “He scoped dirty, which is unfortunate, but we look ahead now to British Champions Day at Ascot (on October 20), where he has an entry in the Group One Sprint over six furlongs.”
The field for this weekend’s event at the Curragh still looks strong despite Blue Point’s absence, with Aidan O’Brien declaring four.
