Charlton happy with Fair Eva

Roger Charlton is feeling confident that Fair Eva has the credentials to win the Qipco 1000 Guineas at Newmarket in May.

The three-year-old daughter of Frankel is looking to bounce back from odds-on reversals in both the Lowther and the Rockfel, having enjoyed a comfortable win on only her second start in a Group Three at Ascot last July.

And Charlton feels that Fair Eva is now looking back in the sort of shape which could see her come out on top in the fillies’ Classic.

He said: “Fair Eva has done very well and looks very well. She has grown a lot and put weight on.

“She is a bigger filly than this time last year.

“We will see how she goes in the spring, but hopefully she might be a Guineas filly.”
