Ryan Moore made it seven wins at Royal Ascot after Curvy landed the Ribblesdale Stakes in the shape of a top-class filly.
It was something of a messy race in the closing stages, as the well-backed winner (9/2) was involved in a barging match as she went for a gap before delivering an emphatic turn of foot to peg back the even money favourite Pleascach with Pamona (8/1) third.
The improving filly was winning her fourth consecutive race of the season and in doing so, became her sire Galileo’s first winner of the Group 2 race.
Curvy completed a double on the day for Moore, who had earlier scored in the opening Norfolk Stakes on 12/1 shot Waterloo Bridge for Aidan O’Brien.
