Trainer Marco Botti insists he isn’t willing to risk Tac De Boistron on the quick ground this summer as he returns from a break.
Tac De Boistron is being considered for the Irish St Leger, Prix du Cadran and Prix Royal-Oak this season.
He was expected to race in the Prix Vicomtesse Vigier at Longchamp on Sunday but the ground dried out before the race.
Botti admits he will be considered for the Gold Cup on June 18 but the ground must be softer.
“We will wait for Ascot now after missing Longchamp,” Botti said.
“We will see what happens with the ground. If it is too quick we will take our time and wait for the Irish St Leger and races like that. I don’t want to keep him in fast work all the summer with the uncertainty of the ground.”
