Connections have confirmed that Ectot will miss the Prix Ganay at Longchamp on Sunday due to a foot problem.
The four-year-old has yet to race this spring after he disappointed in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in October.
Ectot will now be held back until the Prix d’Ispahan at the Parisian track on May 24.
Confirming the plans, Sylvain Vidal, racing manager for Gerard Augustin-Normand said: “He had a bit of a problem on a foot and that is why he will not run at the weekend.
“Because of that upset we will wait for the D’Ispahan.
“He will go to England at some stage – maybe the Champion Stakes – but we need to speak with Al Shaqab and Elie.
“He has changed a lot this year. He has plenty more muscle and I think he could have a big year.”
