IT looks as though the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot in December will be the major pointer for the Stayers’ Hurdle at Cheltenham. There wasn’t a lot between PAISLEY PARK (145) and THYME HILL (144) on the track and it’s the same with the speed figures for the race. Richard Johnson thinks he could have ridden the runner-up better but, at the same time, Paisley Park is proven in the big race at Prestbury Park so has that in his favour.
It should be a real cracker when they cross swords again ...
