Ben Morgan’s Glorious Goodwood Day Three tips

Our resident tipster Ben Morgan gives his best from day three at

1.20 – Raise a glass to Daiquiri

DAIQUIRI BAY ran a lot better than the bare result at Royal as not many of the who were held up got involved in a race where it paid to be up with the pace.

He plugged on for 8th beaten about 4 lengths so not a bad run by any means but he should be better suited to the 1m 2f test he faces today at .

A wide draw is a slight inconvenience but forecast rain could work in his favour even though he by no means needs it.

A mark of 93 looks lenient based on his exploits before Ascot and I am hoping he provides good value at 25/1.

In the same race I’d advise an each way saver on JANEY MACKERS who could benefit from a low draw and a switch to handicap company.

David Meneusier had high hopes for this filly going into this season but she hasn’t quite delivered on that promise just yet. An opening mark of 87 could prove lenient.

1.55 – Underwriter holds a claim in the Richmond

I was very disappointed UNDERWRITER bombed out in the Coventry as I was sure he would have ran a huge race. He had looked top notch on debut at but for whatever reason he never turned up at Ascot.

He has since gone back to Ayr and proven that he is a Group performer by carrying a penalty to victory with the minimum of fuss. He steps back up this Group level now and has to put his best foot forward but I think he can.

2.30 – Moore to deliver from the front in the Gordon Stakes

Given how many of the races here at Goodwood have been working out this week I think GALVESTON could be quite dangerous here if allowed to dictate from the front which is quite likely.

He went a good gallop at and still finished a close third to two high class three year olds.

I don’t think there is anything of that calibre in this line up and he could be underestimated at 6/1
