Trainer Rebecca Curtis has announced she has decided against running At Fishers Cross in Saturday’s Cleeve Hurdle.
The eight-year-old has failed to add to his win tally since a successful novice season but it was anticipated that connections would look to run him at Cheltenham ahead of this year’s Festival, following his impressive third in last season’s World Hurdle.
Having last appeared at Leopardstown on December 28, Curtis is keen to ensure she gets it right when plotting his next move and has now revealed he will skip the Cleeve, with next month’s Rendlesham Hurdle at Haydock being mentioned as a possibility.
“He’s not going to run this weekend now,” the Welsh trainer confirmed. “There’s a race for him at Haydock and he might go there next.”
