Ripon 3.28 – I’m Next in the Winners’ Enclosure at Ripon?
Tim Easterby’s improving 3 year old sprinter, I’M NEXT, boasts some solid course form here at Ripon which will stand him in good stead in this competitive sprint.
A cracking fifth in the Silver Cup at Ayr last week where he was one of only a few horses to make ground up from midfield shows he is in red hot form and if lining up here in a similar mood then I think he can get his head back in front.

Newmarket 3.40 – Unique test tailor made for Owen handicapper
James Owen is fast becoming one of the finest dual purpose trainers around and he could showcase his training skills again in the feature race at Newmarket on Saturday.
His horse, ASMEN WARRIOR looks to hold solid claims in what is a competitive race as this unique 9f test should be right up his street.
A frustrating horse to follow and place in the last two seasons, he doesn’t stay 10 furlongs yet isn’t quite quick enough for a mile so common sense will tell you 9f will be his optimum.
Throw into the mix some very solid course form and an in-form jockey in the saddle and I think he could be an interesting runner at 25/1 or bigger.
Another horse who I will probably have a saver on in this is ST ANTON, who again, looks in need of a bit further than a mile.
Being only a three year old he will have to adapt to the hustle and bustle of the race but hailing from Richard Hannon’s stable you at least know he will be willing.
He has enjoyed a successful season so far but this will be his biggest test to date.
