KNAVESMIRE HAS WINNING TOUCH: Crowds flock back as York plots a course to track success

York Racecourse is proud that the investment in both prize money (£12million in 2025) and the experience of going racing on the Knavesmire attracted a record number of runners -1,580 in the last season.
That means an average field size of more than 12 offering fascinating contests, with a strong chance of each-way returns.

A programme with 30 black-type contests (at least one on 16 of the days) or, put another way, 42 contests with at least six-figure purses, meaning the action is always competitive.
