Ben Morgan’s Saturday tips – Newbury and Bangor On Dee – Hobbs and Whyte to land another landmark success

Racing Ahead’s resident tipster Ben Morgan selects his best bets for Saturday’s action at Newbury & Bangor On Dee.

Furthur won well at Newbury last time

Bangor On Dee 12.37 – Daly’s novice to improve for step up in trip

LAGANHILL burst onto the scene almost 12 months ago now and now bids to climb his way up the novice chase ranks.

His debut at Carlisle was good in what I thought was a tough race and the course itself provides a stern jumping test.

He passed that test and now steps up in trip where I expect connections will be expecting him to play a part in the finish.

His jumping looks to be his main asset and I hope he puts it to good use here, as his mark looks lenient if he puts in a good round.

Newbury 2.55 – Lowry to pick up the Bar bill

This looks one of the stronger renewals of this race for quite a few seasons and punters will be savouring such a competitive contest.

You couldn’t be too confident on anything, but I do like the look of LOWRY’S BAR, which comes in here a little bit under the radar.

He was a progressive novice last term, albeit he signed off in disappointment when we last saw him.

That progressive profile suits the requirements for what you need in this race and his stable could hardly be in better form.

At around 25/1, he could have plenty more to offer and looks a value selection.
