An opening mark of 116 for CHANCEUX certainly looks exploitable and hopefully he can prove that today at Newbury. He has won two poor novice hurdles so far but he couldn’t have won them any easier and connections would be delighted with the opening allocation from the handicapper. Alastair Ralph was quoted last week saying this is one of the nicer young horses in the yard and if that is true then he must surely go close today.
