ALJADY has had some pretty tough tasks of late but faces a step down in grade today in the 7.05 at Chelmsford. Robert Cowell has a tremendous record at Chelmsford and in particular with Tom Morley’s runners but Aljady has only ever raced here once. He got beat by a nose by May Sonic that day when conceding him 10lbs but today the pair meet again with a 15lb swing and considering a nose separated them last time, I find it hard to believe that May Sonic is still favourite. It’s not a two horse race but these two stand out on form and I’m more than hopeful the selection can reverse the form so therefore he must go close.
