Royal Ascot’s five-day meeting begins on June 17 with an excellent day’s racing, three of the first four races being Group 1s with the first 2yo race of the meeting, the Group 2 Coventry Stakes over 6f, the second race on the card.

The second day of the meeting only has one Group 1 race, the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes, one of two during the meeting to have £1million in prize money, there are three Group 2s, the first of which is the second 2yo race of the meeting, the Queen Mary Stakes over 5f. The final race on Wednesday’s card is also over 5f for 2yos the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes.
