Racing Ahead’s resident tipster Ben Morgan selects his best bets for Saturday’s action at Aintree.
12.55 – Kyntara weighted to go close if ready to roll
A small field here but competitive as the market would suggest. Some of these may be looking at this race as a prep run for another target down the line, whilst others will be looking to finish in the top 4 and guarantee a place in the Pertemps come next March.
KYNTARA was a close second in the Pertemps in 2024 before losing his way over fences last year.
Mel Rowley’s stout stayer clearly has plenty of ability and has now dropped down the mark which saw him finish so close at Cheltenham.
I think he should be ready to roll here and I fancy him to take some beating if back to his best.

2.40 – Cunha runner could the Mahon for job
These races over the Grand National fences aren’t what they used to be, but they still require a specialist type to run in them.
Although MAHON’S GLORY has never ran over these fences, I think he has all the right credentials to excel over this unique course.
A bold jumper who likes going from the front should be able to get into a rhythm on the lead.
Lee Edwards knows the horse well, and it looks like this may have been the plan for a while, so I’m hopeful of a bold showing.
