Wow – it’s October folks, which means the new jumps season proper is almost here and it also won’t be long before we start seeing those pesky Christmas ads on the TV.

Anyway, before all that let’s hope October brings us a few more days of sunshine and top racing – including at the second autumn Newmarket meeting over the 10th and 11th of the month.
Champions Day at Ascot on October 18 will also be a big highlight but back to Newmarket and the main betting race at the meeting...
