FEBRUARY herald the start of things going up a gear here at Newmarket. All the trainers will be back off their winter holidays and eager to get their strings cantering upsides in readiness for the new season that starts next month at Doncaster.Winter has not really arrived here at HQ but we have had a lot of frosty mornings to contend with, the Heathmen have done a great job gritting the horse-walks and the horses have been able to go out onto the Heath regularly.I hope you all like my photo of horses out at exercise on a lovely winter...
